Diana Tyuleneva
Hello, do you like what you see?

I am Diana Tyuleneva, one of the world’s sexiest and most dynamic fitness stars. Thank you for visiting my site.

Here’s a little about me: I am Romanian, Polish, Russian Ukrainian combo and I was born in the Ukraine. In high school I was always involved with sports especially track & field events, like long distance jumping and sprinting.

I love to work out and sculpt my body the way I like it. I set myself personal goals that I have to reach, which keeps me highly motivated. I have achieved many things in my life through single-minded determination and a will to succeed. I never let anything stand in my way.

I think I am a dedicated athlete and I am proud of the work I’ve done so far. I can guarantee you will see much more of me in the future, no matter what I come up with.

I Grew up as an athlete in Columbus, Ohio, playing every sport I could. At the age of 18, I got a rare neurological disease called Guillian-Barre Syndrome. This disease basically paralyzed me for about 6 months. Once diagnosed, I was treated and began the road to recovery! Basically, a tiny germ got into my immune system causing it to attack the mylan sheath from around my nerves. By the time I was diagnosed, I was in a wheelchair and unable to stand and I didn’t have feeling in my arms or legs. I was told it could be 6 months before I was walking again and may never make a full recovery.

After spending a week in the hospital and a little over a month in rehabilitation, I was released as ‘normal’. Because I was nowhere near my personal ‘normal’, I started working in a gym. That’s where I learned about food, muscles, weight training and molding a body. One year after being release from physical rehabilitation, I stepped on stage in my first bodybuilding show, and continued to competed for the next 5 years. I won many titles, but mostly enjoyed the personal challenge to improve and surpass my own expectations. It’s a challenge, a test of determination, discipline and scientific knowledge. It takes dedication and a ton of support from friends and family.

Now, I enjoy just coaching and staying in shape! I have been a trainer and coach for over 10 years working with competitors, athletes and the general public looking to make healthy changes in their life. With my all education and experience, I generally specialize in bodybuilding, fitness and figure contest prep, as well as strength and core conditioning.

I created a whole new me through fitness. I was saggy, baggy, sad and self loathing. I knew I needed to change so I picked myself up by the bootstraps and started training. I didn’t have a trainer to guide me and it was all trial and error, but here I am…..single mother of 4, ages 10-23 and I am in my 40’s. Never think it’s too late to change your life and feel good about yourself. Its not just a change of body….it’s a change of mind and a positive outlook out on.

Interview with the amazing Female Bodybuilder Cassandra Floyd

$

Female bodybuilder Cassandra Floyd was kind enough to catch up with Female Muscle while rushing from the Atlantic City Pro to the Olympia Weekend. Thanks Cassandra!

Lori Braun: What was it like winning your pro card?

Cassandra Floyd: It was a validation that all the hard work and dieting finally came to fruition. By the way, this is my second Pro Card. I was a former WNBF Pro Light Weight for over 10 years. But, I put things in perspective. I know Rome wasn’t built in a day. The process of training at another level is required. I am patient, so I will be on top at some point in time in my career.

Lori Braun: You just hit the stage at the 2009 Atlantic City Pro. Will you be competing again this year? And if so, what are your goals?

Cassandra Floyd: No more shows for 2009.I now have to focus on school and work. My full-time job pays the bills and not this sport. I have to keep everything in perspective.

Lori Braun: What first got you interested in bodybuilding?

Cassandra Floyd: Actually, I use to watch my dad lift weights in the den part of our home growing up. I would sneak and take the lightest one and do bicep curls. Then in high school and college I would go work out with the guys and they pushed me. So after college I joined a World’s Gym and a group of powerlifters took me under their wings. They stated I had the genetics for bodybuilding, so I did my first NPC show in 1989. Won my class and the overall. So I was hooked from that time until present.

Lori Braun: Is there anything that you remember the powerlifters teaching you that you still use in your training today? Such as training techniques or philosophies?

Cassandra Floyd: Technique is so important. Deadlifts are the best but if your feet are not set properly, you can injure yourself. Major lower back pain. Always wear a belt to support your back. Wrap your knees.

Lori Braun: What advice can you give women who want to lift weights and get toned, but who fear lifts like the deadlift and bench press?

Cassandra Floyd: My advice to all women: you have the control to take your body to the level that suits you. You have to incorporate weights to get toned or to firm up the muscle. Deadlifts and bench press are not totally necessary, always. You can use dumbbells with high reps and less rest between sets. You must also add some type of cardio exercise to your routine.

Lori Braun: What are the most important aspects of gaining muscle for a new female lifter who wants to compete?

Cassandra Floyd: The most important aspect of gaining muscle is nutrition. Eating the right foods. Getting plenty of sleep.

Lori Braun: What guidelines do you recommend for daily protein intake?

Cassandra Floyd: I can only recommend what works for me because everyone’s body is different. Off season I split 75% protein and 25% carbs. My carbs stay low all year round. When I prepare for competition my protein is 85% protein and 15% carbs. This is what works for me.

Lori Braun: You mention in your bio on your website that you were bullied when you were younger. Tell us about that…and how did it motivate you?

Cassandra Floyd: Well. I grew up in the Jehovah’s Witness religion which was very strict at the time. We were not allowed to be around school mates after school if they weren’t part of that religion.

So kids at school would want to come over to play, and each time I told them no, my parents would mot allow it. And I could not go to their homes as well. So I was picked on because they felt that I was too good to be around them which wasn’t the case.

I was a major tom boy growing up because I have 9 brothers. I fall number 11 out of 16. There’s 4 boys in front of me 2 after me. I didn’t have a sister to hang out with. I would play every sport they played: flag football, regular football, basketball, volleyball, baseball, softball , kickball. I was always thin but muscular. I use to watch my father lift weight and I would mimic him. I would sneak and pick up the lightest weight possible. I had a plan for the girls and boys who would always made fun of me.

Basically, the plan was to kick their butts. This was my inspiration to start lifting weight.

Lori Braun: What does it feel like now when you meet an old friend (or enemy) and they see what great condition you’re in… I imagine everyone is now your friend?

Cassandra Floyd: To answer your question, I can’t say I have enemies. If they are out there too bad. I live a very simple life and I was raised open minded and color blind. I give people the same respect they give me. It does give me pleasure when I visit my hometown and see some of my classmates who where very popular in school and to see them fat out of shape. Also they look like they have 10 years of aging on me. Such pleasure!

Lori Braun: You just came back from the 2009 Olympia Weekend. What’s the best and worst part about the Olympia weekend for you?

Cassandra Floyd: The best was seeing the reaction from the men’s finals. Jay and Branch made night and day improvements from last year. Dexter was basically pissed on stage. The bottom line size and condition made the Olympia this year. It was judged fairly. The worst…it ended too soon. I worked at the Europa booth this year with Denise Masino. Had a blast… just didn’t want the fun to end.

Thanks for your time.

Lori Braun: Thank you Cassandra!

Sofia IsbergI’ve always been an active girl who has been busy with one or another sport. Before it was riding as a first priority, but there was also some hockey and vollybollträning at leisure. As a person I am positive, caring and happy and see most often a solution to everything. Has always been a person who does not give me before I have done it even has begun. When I am not working so it is training that is on the schedule. Sometimes wish that the days were longer so you had time for a little more. Fortunately, driving my kjäreste with the same, so we train a lot together and will thus see more of each other!:) If I would have some spare time, I think it eat a lot of fun to cook, go on film and be in the fresh air. I grew up in the forest environment, so that’s probably why I have become somewhat of an outdoorsman.

MARIKA TALKS ABOUT HER LIFE:
“I was born and raised in a very small town in Sweden. To be brought up with 4 brothers I was born and raised in a very small town in Sweden. To be brought up with 4 brothers made me pretty stubborn and active. Sport and exercising has always been a big part of my life. My mom was at home with us through all of my childhood and gave us the security we needed. My dad use to be a professional motocross rider and was and am still very interested in exercise and to be active. After his career in motocross he started powerlifting as did two of my brothers too.I started training with weights when I was 18. By that time I was into show jumping with my horse. I needed to strengthen my arms and legs to keep up with my horse so I started to visit the local gym in town. I got introduced to the weights and after a week I was hooked by it. I started to make progress fast and got so many good compliments for my strength that it encouraged me to go further. I liked the way you sculpture you body and how you can manage and increase the weights.
Since I responded fast to training, my arms started to grow within 6 weeks. I started to read muscle magazines and when I saw Cory Everson and Lenda Murray, I just knew that a physique like that is what I want to achieve. This lead me into start competing.
I did my first Swedish nationals 1992 where I placed 3rd. My first World Championship came 1994 with a 10th place as a result. Then I did some more World Championships with 5th place as best result. After that I started to aim for the other side of the Atlantic sea.Since my first time in USA 1994, I always have had as goal to one day be live and train here. But since I had my son to look after and my life in Sweden, I knew I couldn’t go yet.2001 my life was put on hold since my mom was diagnosed cancer I her stomach. I lived with the frightening thought of loosing her at same time as I tried to have hope for her and keep her positive and strong. The doctors did surgery on her after a long process and we thought that she was safe. Unfortunately it had already spread and in 2002 it got worse and she found out by the doctors that her days were now counted. They gave her 2 months to live. This turned my life up side down.

Together with my brothers we decided to nurse her in her home to give her the best ending. I had to take time off from my job and travel to my old hometown and stay there as much as possible. I nursed her 24 hours a day for a week and then my brothers did one week. The stress we went through was undescribable. To see her get weaker and see her desperate eyes put scares in all of us. She was so full of life and stubborn that she didn’t pass away until after 6 months. She never wanted to give up. She is my biggest hero and I know she is always with me. I’m proud of being her daughter and all I got I have her to thank for.It took my long time to get back to the gym but with help of fans and friends I decided to do what my mother wanted me to do. Be a bodybuilder and aim to become professional and try to reach for my dreams. To move to US.

Not until I got my IFBB pro card 2005 I felt my dream was getting closer. In August 2005 I competed in Europa Super show in Texas where I finished 4th which really made me encouraged to try to finally make a move.February 2006 I packed my suitcases and made a move to Los Angeles. I lived there for 2 years until I moved on to Boise Idaho. I’m now working with personal training and establish my company MJ K.I.S ( Keep it simple) Future Physique.I want to thank my husband Kris Gethin for have given me a new life with lots of love and encouragement to reach for my goals and dreams and I want to thank my son, that means the world for me, for have to put up with a mom who is dieting, constantly training and working. I love you Sebastian.

I have the best of friends around me and some of my earlier role models of this sport are now my best friends. Lenda Murray, Dorian Yates, Gary Strydom are some of them.”

Sherrie CarnicleChildhood

Sherrie Carnicle, mother, personal trainer, fitness model and competitor born December 22, 1977 and raised in Cedar Rapids, IA.
My parents and family inspired my interest in fitness, father was a golden gloves boxer, and competitive power-lifter, mother never missed a day of exercise, every morning she did videos in our living room. Our Father actually paid us an allowance to do push ups and sit ups each night.
Growing up with one brother, Paul, who was 4 ½ years older than me, you could describe me as a tomboy. I followed him around playing football, catching insects, and riding dirt bike. I then followed in his athletic footsteps as he set records in track in middle school and high school.

I started with karate and gymnastics around the age of 6 and continued my involvement in sports such as volleyball, track, soccer, cheerleading throughout middle school and high school.
During my first season of track, as a freshman in high school, I started lifting weights and was immediately hooked.
College
I knew my passion and career path right out of high school and went to college at Western Illinois University, to pursue a BS in Exercise Science, graduating with honors. I was a fitness trainer for the student recreation center and actively participated and took on leadership roles in many student clubs.
Family-Daughter
After college I did my internship in AZ at Camelback Resort. Shortly after my internship I had my daughter Hailee, who is now 7, and moved back to IA.
Competition
I did my first figure competition in 2004, 10 months after giving birth to Hailee. I placed first in my initial show and earned a pro card in NGA. I went on to compete later in the NPC sanction where I am currently top ten ranked national competitor in figure. While training for shows I picked up an interest in running road races and actually placed at the top in many ranging from 5k to 25k.
Work Experience
10+ years experience as a personal trainer
5 years in the food industry has given me knowledge in areas of nutrition and food processing to educate clients.
Memberships
Member of IDEA, NASM, American Heart Association, Insured independent personal trainer
Areas of Focus
I work with corrective exercise and flexibility, sport specific training, weight loss, pre/post natal, post rehabilitation, children’s fitness, fitness contest prep, nutrition consultant and programs, core emphasis, and very detailed approach. Always keep your body guessing and very functional with a preventative approach to health and wellness. The ultimate goal is to help clients discover their best self.
I lived in IA and was a personal trainer part-time and food technologist part time. The fitness industry was lacking in IA and I had the opportunity to relocate to MN through Cargill.
Career Change
I moved to MN in Oct 2006-Within a year of working in MN, realized the fitness industry was great for switching to full time personal trainer. I pursued my passion in fitness by beginning full time personal training career in 2007 and it was a success!
As business was successful, I knew that it could be successful in a place that I would be happier living in. My ultimate goal was to move to AZ and made it happen in Oct 2009. No more winters!!

Nicole Pfützenreuter, also known as Nicole Savage, earned her Pro Card after getting a relatively late start in the sport, at age 27. She made a big impression among German fans, winning the 2004 German Championships, and scoring third at the 2005 Masters World Championships to turn pro. However after this, she started to make a name for herself in the Western Hemisphere, competing at the Tampa Pro, New York Pro, and Chicago Pro, as well as other shows throughout the United States.

Unfortunately, it seems that Nicole Pfützenreuter has passed away at the young age of just 51 years old. This came as a result of her dealing with bladder cancer, a diagnosis that she went public about earlier this year. Her husband, Karsten revealed this news, before a post to her official Facebook confirmed her passing.

“You will live forever.

In the hearts of those who love you.

🙏💜😓

Nicole Pfützenreuter made the announcement of her diagnosis earlier this year, with a post to her Instagram. Here she revealed that not only was she diagnosed with bladder cancer, but she had also gone through an extensive surgery, lasting 11 hours. She would go on to have chemotherapy in the efforts to defeat this disease. Yet in the end this would not be enough, with her succumbing to the viciousness of her illness.

“At that moment my wife is receiving her first chemotherapy. Tomorrow is Nicole’s birthday. I wish for two things: that everyone crosses their fingers, that everything will be fine and that you all congratulate my wife on her birthday tomorrow. Be it here on Instagram or on Facebook. That would make her very happy. Dear and thank you in advance”

MARIKA TALKS ABOUT HER LIFE:"I was born and raised in a very small town in Sweden. I liked the way you sculpture you body and how you can manage and increase the weights.Since I responded fast to training, my arms started to grow within 6 weeks. I started to read muscle magazines and when I saw Cory Everson and Lenda Murray, I just knew that a physique like that is what I want to achieve. This lead me into start competing.I did my first Swedish nationals 1992 where I placed 3rd. This turned my life up side down.Together with my brothers we decided to nurse her in her home to give her the best ending. To move to US.Not until I got my IFBB pro card 2005 I felt my dream was getting closer. I love you Sebastian.I have the best of friends around me and some of my earlier role models of this sport are now my best friends. Lenda Murray, Dorian Yates, Gary Strydom are some of them."
